Covid-19 Update

(714) 847-6097

All of us here at WarnerDale Dental Practice hopes this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our “normal” habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same:

Our commitment to your safety!

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, its both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you more about the infection control procedures we follow, and those we have added to our practice.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.  We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agency’s recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We’ve made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. Our policies will be updated as the information provided by these agencies changes.

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions, preferably via text or email. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
  •  We ask that you remain in your car when you arrive, and text or call the office to let us know you are here.  Your temperature will also be taken before entering the office.  Any patient with a temperature above 100° will be rescheduled. Please wear a face covering upon entering and exiting the office.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use as you enter and exit the office assuring everyone is practicing proper hand hygiene.
  • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing and enhanced sterilization procedures between patients. We may have to adjust your scheduled appointment time in order to maintain these measures.
  • We have also invested in multiple medical Hepa rated air purifiers and evacuation systems in the treatment rooms to decrease aerosols.
  • As before the pandemic, we continue to use up-to-date sterilization protocol to make sure all instruments, handpieces and treatment rooms are properly cleaned. If it can’t be sterilized, it is disposed of.

We all look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, our staff and every patient, safe in our practice.  We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends with smiles hidden under our masks, but still very much there!

Sincerely,

Dr. Yoshikawa, Dr. Morley and the Staff at WarnerDale Dental
